THE ASSEMBLY 2007 April 2007 marks the 400th anniversary of the first landing of English settlers in America. It was on April 29, 1607, that a young Anglican chaplain, Robert Hunt, planted a cross on what is now known as Cape Henry, dedicating the new land for the purposes of God. The Assembly 2007, an event that has drawn support from top-Christian leaders across the country, will draw thousands to Virginia Beach for a time of prayer, praise and rededication. In addition, Christians across the country are being urged to plant a cross April 29 to rededicate their own land to God. |
