JONI AND FRIENDS DISABILITY ADVOCATES
TACKLE AUTISM IN NEW DVD RESOURCE:
‘Making Sense of Autism’ Available for Autism Support Groups
WHAT:

Released to coincide with Autism Awareness Month in April, Joni and Friends has produced a new two-part DVD series on autism, tackling both the myths and truths about this mystifying condition.

“Making Sense of Autism” brings the viewers into the lives of families affected by autism to witness their joys and frustrations. Hosted by author and disability advocate Joni Eareckson Tada, these episodes from her award-winning television series feature advice from parents, pastors, experts and teachers who address the issues surrounding autism.

The series will be airing on television beginning this week, but Joni and Friends is offering autism support groups and organizations a free set of the DVDs to show at meetings, share among members, and use as a discussion tool and encouragement for parents and other caregivers.

WHEN:

The DVDs are available for give away now through the end of April. Contact Melany Ethridge at A. Larry Ross Communications, (972) 267-1111 or via email at [email protected], to request a copy of “Making Sense of Autism.”
