Almost three years after the April 2007 massacre on the Virginia Tech campus, many people at the University of Alabama are pondering some of the same questions that plagued those in the Virginia community: Why does God allow bad things to happen? What possible point could there be in violence that seems without reason? Author, speaker and pastor, Jim Pace, can speak to how we can best make sense of things we don’t understand and how to maintain faith in spite of calamity.

Jim Pace, co-pastor at New Life Christian Fellowship at Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, Va. As the pastor of a church close to the university campus, Pace found himself catapulted into the national media spotlight to address the big issues and tough questions of faith as the Virginia Tech incident unfolded on the news. Pace and his church also helped to counsel students after the shootings. He is a sought-after speaker on the sticky issues of faith that confront society.
