INTERNET MINISTRY OFFERS HOPE TO MILITARY:
Global Media Outreach Offers Gospel Web Sites to Armed Forces

Internet ministry Global Media Outreach (GMO) has five web sites specifically dedicated to share the good news of Christ with the branches of the U.S. armed forces: godlovesairmen.com, godlovesmarines.com, godlovessailors.com, godlovessoldiers.com and flagsandfaith.com.

“Our prayers go out to a hurting nation today,” said Walt Wilson, founder and chair of GMO, a Silicon Valley-based ministry that uses emerging technologies to spread the Gospel of Jesus throughout the world. “We are in full support of our military and hope that these sites help to provide comfort during this difficult time.”

Prior to his 50-year business career in technology, Wilson served active duty in the United States Marine Corps.

GMO is bringing evangelism into the 21st century. Since its inception in 2004, GMO has seen the number of people making commitments to Christ grow from 21,066 people annually, to now more than 1 million people indicating a decision for Jesus each month since June of 2009.

“As we approach Veteran’s Day, we are reminded of the ultimate sacrifice so many have paid for our freedom,” Wilson said. “We encourage all Christians to continue to pray for those in the military, both here and abroad.”

In addition to the military web sites, GMO sponsors over 100 web sites to reach people around the globe for Christ and help them mature in their faith. Many sites present the Gospel, while GMO’s discipleship sites provide resource materials such as articles, online Bible studies, videos and worship music.
