WHAT: |
In advance of the Nov. 13, 2009 release of “2012,” the next big global doomsday blockbuster, pastor and end times expert, Phil Hotsenpiller, can speak to society’s fixation with the “last days” and end of the world, a frequent backdrop for movies and entertainment.
The movie “2012” is based off of an ancient Mayan belief that the end of ages will occur on December 21, 2012. With a plot that gives the Apocalypse a mere three-year timeframe, “2012” is a film that may cause audiences to panic about the world’s end and confuse fictional entertainment with biblical truth.
