REGIONAL CONFERENCE IN MALAYSIA THIS WEEK:

Christian Leaders from 22 Nations Meet to Plan Outreach Strategy

WHat:

This week, Aglow International President Jane Hansen Hoyt is leading a conference for all the Asian leaders of its worldwide organization. Themed "One Voice: A Kingdom Call to Possess Our Inheritance,” the conference will attract women from 22 Asian countries who will work to strategize outreach activities throughout Asia. Aglow is based in Seattle, Washington, USA, and has local groups in 172 countries.

Leaders from 22 Asian nations will attend the conference. Some of the nations represented include Bangladesh, Cambodia, China/Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Kazakhstan, Korea, Kyrgyzstan, Malaysia, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan, Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Tajikistan, Thailand and Uzbekistan.

Last month, Aglow women ministered to and provided supplies for hundreds of families in Indonesia following severe flooding. In Myanmar, Aglow women have been working to build a women’s rehabilitation center for HIV and drug victims, and in Pakistan, they have recently conducted free medical camps in tribal areas that lack any medical care.

Aglow International is one of the world’s largest Christian organizations with more than 200,000 core members operating in more than 170 countries.
