THE NATIONAL DAY OF CARE:
Opportunity for Americans to Impact the Lives of African Orphans

WHat:
The purpose of the National Day of Care is to mobilize a response to global humanitarian crises. The initial focus is to provide assistance to the over 15 million orphans and victims of AIDS in Africa.

On the National Day of Care, contributions of time and funds are encouraged. Donations made to the National Day of Care are used to promote the national endeavor, and to support special orphan projects and partnerships in Africa. Some of these include: World Vision, Save Africa’s Children and Samaritan’s Purse.

The National Day of Care is also involved in assisting orphans, vulnerable children, and victims of AIDS in the United States and around the world, as well as disaster relief.
