Public funeral service for Dr. D. James Kennedy, founder and senior pastor for 48 years of Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church (CRPC) in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., who passed away Sept. 5.

Service participants include keynote speaker Dr. James Dobson, Focus on the Family founder and board chair; eulogies from Dr. Frank Wright, National Religious Broadcasters president and CEO, and Richard DeVos, Amway Corporation co-founder; a family testimony from daughter Jennifer Kennedy Cassidy and statements read by a representative of President George W. Bush and grandson of evangelist Billy Graham.
 

For nearly one-half century, Dr. Kennedy served as an influential pastor, innovative Christian broadcaster, visionary statesman, and energetic cultural reformer, who equipped and empowered individuals in every nation on earth to share their faith, resulting in more than 5 million commitments to Christ.
